Well I survived my first con in the USA! Man was it insane, I have to admit it was a big difference for me coming from Australia to LA. I heard there was around 70,000 people over the 3 days which is just insane to me.
Overall it was an amazing weekend as I got to meet a lot of new people and professionals already in the industry who inspire me. I got to meet Scott Snyder who is really a nice guy who loves his fans. I had the chance to see his panel and I thought it was great, I took away a lot of things from it such as his whole writing process. Another person I met was Kyle Higgins whose Nightwing run at the moment is kicking ass!
My goal was to get a few more fans for Vengador and hopefully I achieved that. Walking up and down the whole convention center handing out Vengador fliers and introducing myself to many people was great. I was surprised with the amount of people who were asking about the character and the story. I learn’t a lot from this trip and will definitely do it again next year I feel. I have a few things to work on in terms of my writing but hey I am young and I know there are a lot of things to work on but this weekend has showed me those key areas which people are looking for in a young writer.
The next thing on my agenda is to do a few reviews for some comics that I bought over the weekend and to work with other web and comic guys on a few projects and see if anything comes out it. But first I will be reviewing Scott Snyder and Scott Tuft’s book from Image “Severed” which I hope to have up at the end of next week if time persists.
I leave to go back to Sydney next week before returning to the real world of work lol As a final note I just want people to know I had a blast.

Not sure if you remember me. We met in line during WonderCon.
I finally got around to reading the comic. Hmm…what is up with the “dirty” cop? I really enjoy the story so far. I will pass this along to some friends of mine. I sure hope that you had a great time at the Con. Did you make some contacts? I know that you are not planning to go to SDCC but hey, if you want me leave some of your fliers throughout I would be happy to lend a hand.

Of course I remember you mate. I’m glad you took the time to read my comic an it means the world to hear you say you enjoy it. Unfortunately I couldn’t upload the latest page this week since I’ve been in the states but essentially the role that hammer plays will be revealed at the end of the third issue which is only in a few weeks now.
I had a blast at wondercon and would definitely love to go to SDCC maybe not next year but the year after I think. I’ve thought about it and will most likely go to wondercon next year if it’s in San Francisco that way I can still do my work at Cisco and have fun at the con.
